How can we make Lincoln more bike-friendly?
The Lincoln Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is kicking off an On-Street Bicycle Facilities Plan, and we want your involvement! There will be many opportunities to provide input, here are a few:
- Check out the Get Involved page for upcoming events.
- Take our quick survey to tell us what you think.
- Use the Public Commenting Map to tell us where you bike and where you wish you could bike if conditions were better.
- Add your name and contact information to our contact list to receive project updates.
The primary purpose of the Lincoln Bike Plan is to identify an on-street bicycle network that builds on the City’s extensive trail network and will provide safe and low-stress bicycle commuting and recreational opportunities. The plan will depict a comprehensive system of off-street and on-street facilities that safely connects neighborhoods and destinations and encourages bicycle travel.
The Lincoln Bike Plan kicked off in February 2018, and the planning process will occur over a nine-month period, with adoption anticipated in November 2018. The schedule below provides an overview of the major project tasks and associated timeframes. More information about the public engagement activities can be found on the Get Involved page.
